dia_red.gif Plein Air...Augusta Shores Plein Air Day is Thursday April 18. Artists will be painting in and around our community. There will be our annual chili supper at the Berg House following the judging at 5 pm. Donations are needed for prize money (not from community funds). If you want to help with items for the supper, or just help around the Berg House that day, click here for details. dia_red.gif Mowing...The contract for mowing our common grounds has been extended for Anderson’s Lawn Care of Wentzville through 2014. Owners may use this company for their own needs if desired. Please call one of the following numbers if you wish this company to bid on cutting or maintaining your lot: 636-463-2888 or 314-393-7407.

The Annual Spring Letter has been sent to non-resident Lot Owners. Non-Residents please remember to set up maintenance of your lot, with Anderson or a vendor of your choice. (updated 04/12/2013)

dia_red.gif Annual Meeting and Picnic June 8...The Annual Meeting and Community Picnic will be held on June 8th at the Berg House, starting promptly at 11:00 am.  The meeting will review our annual accomplishments, plans, goals, and finances. There are two Director positio```ns (2 year term) up for election. Contact Denis Raab, chair of the Nominating Committee, if you are interested in running for the Board. The Nominating Committee will pull this together - you should receive your voting information in May.

We will have signup sheets for volunteers to the many committees which help keep our community running. Think about leading or serving on one of the committees.

The picnic will immediately follow the Annual Meeting. If attending, please bring a covered dish. Water, soda, burgers and hotdogs will be provided. (updated 04/10/2013)

dia_red.gif No Dumping or Unauthorized Storage in the Quarry...Reminder to all residents: Dumping is NOT allowed in the ASOA Quarry. ALL storage items such as boats and trailers MUST BE clearly marked with the owner’s Lot Number. All other items will be hauled away as junk (which costs ASOA money). The ASOA has the right to assign spaces for items to be stored in the quarry. If you have any questions, please contact Jerry Braden or Brian Lindsey (See the Quarry Storage Letter of July 2012.)

dia_red.gif Reserving the Pool/Pavilion/Berg House...Owners in good standing may reserve the pavilion, pool area and Berg House for private parties. To reserve one or more areas an owner needs to contact a member of the Rules/Compliance Committee (Kathy Schulz) at least two weeks prior to the requested reservation date and submit a $50.00 refundable deposit, in the form of a check made payable to: Augusta Shores Owners Association, along with the signed Reservation form. dia_red.gif Fishing...Please keep/remove all bass 17" and under, along with any green sunfish. please release all bass over 17". The removed fish can be thrown on the bank. This will help manage the bass population to encourage growth of bigger fish.

dia_red.gif Trespassers- If you see a parked car and you think the driver is trespassing, leave one of these notes on the windshield - click here for a copy. If you are an owner and need windshield stickers(s), contact the secretary or the webmaster. If you feel threatened or prefer to remain anonymous, call the County Sheriff at their non-emergency number, 636-949-0809 or dial 911 if it is an emergency.

dia_red.gif Dog Owners: Be a good neighbor and clean up after your dog. The development is filling up - don't forget to think of others when you are walking your dog.

dia_red.gif Notice to non-resident lot owners - enforcement of cutting and cleanup regulations will be maintained each season. There is a policy for Good Property Management that you can access from the Documents page or by clicking here. Things green up and grow fast in the Spring, so make sure to keep up with your lot.

dia_red.gif Building? Adding on? Building an outside improvement? - If you are building a new house on a previously undeveloped lot, you must contact the Architectural Committee for plan approval and you must sign the "Rules of Engagement" - click here for a copy. If you are adding on to the outside of your house or making any improvement visible from the outside, you must contact the Architectural Committee - e-mail archcomm@augustashores.com.

dia_red.gif E-mail addresses needed - The Association needs your e-mail address; It will be kept confidential among the Board and staff, but saves time and money on printing and postage when we have news between newsletter publications. Please send your e-mail address to webmaster@augustashores.com .

dia_red.gif  Lot Owners! Use of common areas (pool, tennis courts, Berg House, lakes, etc. and including fishing) is for Lot Owners and their guests only.

  • Guests MUST be accompanied by Lot Owners.

    dia_red.gif Be Careful: Please be careful if you are walking on the roads during twilight or darkness - wear reflective or light-colored clothing, carry a light and make SURE cars can see you. Don't walk with your back to traffic.

You must be willing to give your name and phone number to have a vendor listed, but if you have your own business, please don't just recommend yourself...have a satisfied customer/member do it.     dia_red.gif Augusta Shores is a community of 129 homesites on 440 acres nestled in the bluffs of the Missouri River Valley between Defiance and Augusta Missouri. As of January 1, 2012 there are 85 homes built in Augusta Shores with many more under construction or in the planning stages.
